DAYTON, Ohio (GreenBayPhoenix.com) - With three players getting at least seven rebounds
and two setting career highs, Green Bay dominated the glass in Saturday's 67-64
loss at Wright State. The Phoenix held a 37-26 edge on the boards against the
Raiders, including a 22-10 edge in the opening half.
Green
Bay has outrebounded each of its four opponents in Horizon League play, and
have a rebounding margin of plus-8.8 in league games. In Saturday's game,
juniors Steve Baker (St. Paul, Minn.) and Jarvis Williams (Milwaukee, Wis.) each had
nine rebounds while senior Greg LeSage (Radcliff, Ky.) grabbed seven
boards. Baker set a new career-high while LeSage tied his previous best. Eight
of the nine Phoenix players that appeared in the game corralled at least one
rebounds.
The
league's best offensive rebounding team, Green Bay was able to get the rebound
on 12 of its 22 misses from the field in the contest. Williams and Baker each
had three offensive boards.

Bay shot a season-best 53.2 percent (25-47) from the field. The team hit
13-of-22 shots in the second half for 59.1 percent.
- The
Phoenix hit nearly two-thirds of its shots from inside the arc, going
23-for-36.

between. The teams first and last field goals made were from long range.
- The
34.6 percent shooting (18-52) by Wright State was the second-lowest by a
Phoenix opponent this season.

Individual Notes
- Freshman
Alec Brown had two blocked shots and now has 31 on the season.
- Brown
broke the freshman record for blocked shots in a season, set by Terry Evans
with 29 in 2005-06.
- Junior
Jarvis Williams scored 14 points and has averaged 14.5 points in his two
Horizon League games this season. The junior played a career-high 33 minutes
before fouling out.
- Williams
hit four of his five field goal attempts and went 5-for-6 from the free throw
line.
- Junior
Steve Baker scored in double figures off the Green Bay bench with 11, his
seventh game this season in double digits.
- Baker's
three with 4.4 seconds remaining tied the score at 64-64.
- The
junior tied a career high with 35 minutes played.
- Bryquis Perine scored 12 of his 14 points in the second half. He has 794 career points.
- Senior
Rahmon Fletcher failed to reach double figures for the first time in eight
games.
- Fletcher
has now scored 1426 points in his Green Bay career, 14 shy of eighth place
all-time.
- The
all-conference guard was limited to just 21 minutes because of foul trouble and
fouled out for the third time this season.
