GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) - Green Bay Nordic skier Carolyn Freeman (Ely, Minn.) has earned a trip to the NCAA National Championships for the third year in a row, the Central Collegiate Ski Association announced today after a final tally of the season point totals. For her impressive performance throughout her senior campaign, Freeman has also been named to the CCSA's all-conference first team.

The Green Bay standout accumulated the CCSA's second-highest point total in six qualifying events throughout the year, earning her one of the conference's seven qualifying spots to this year's NCAA Championships in Stowe, Vt., held March 9-12.

"I think this year's NCAA Championships for Carolyn is going to be one of a kind," Green Bay assistant coach Steve Teclaw said. "Her previous showings at these races have been competitive, but this time she is ready to fully display her talents against the country's fastest. Carolyn's best weapon going into NCAAs is her fitness. She has trained through a disciplined training plan. Her endurance runs deep."

Freeman won a total of seven individual races throughout the 2010-11 campaign, including a dominating 24-second win in the classic race at last weekend's NCAA Central Regional.
