GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) - Former Green Bay men's soccer star
Tosaint Ricketts has a new pro deal with Norwegian Tippeligaen team Sandnes
Ulf, the team announced Jan. 10. It will be the fourth professional stop for
Ricketts, who was a standout forward for the Phoenix from 2005-08.
He started his professional career
with the Finnish club MyPa where he scored nine goals in 38 appearances, and
then began playing for Timisoara in Romania, where he scored six goals in 24
games before the team went bankrupt in April 2012. Most recently, he played for
Norwegian club Valerenga in Oslo, Norway, where he appeared in three contests
and scored in the season finale.
Ricketts professional resume includes
17 goals in 68 pro matches, and 18 appearances for the Canada national team
with five goals scored.
Ricketts was a three-time All-Horizon
League selection during his time with the Phoenix, earning first-team honors in
2007 and 2008. He also played eight games for Canada's U20 national team and
five games for Canada's U23 national team, scoring seven total goals.
