GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – The Green Bay men's basketball team is officially 1-0 on the young 2016-17 season, after cruising to an 84-49 victory on Saturday afternoon at the Resch Center over Northland College. The Phoenix (1-0) was able to turn a five-point halftime lead into a 35-point victory after enjoying a 25-0 run early in the second half.
In his first career start at Green Bay, Trevor Anderson tallied 11 points and six assists, while Warren Jones added 12 points of his own on six made free throws and a couple of three-pointers. Jamar Hurdle led all scorers with 13 points and Khalil Small joined him in double figures with 10 points.
