GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – Capping off the best season of his standout four-year career, senior guard Carrington Love was named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches All-District 12 Second Team, the organization recently announced.
Green Bay's leading scorer this season with an average 17.3 PPG, earns his first NABC All-District honor. Love adds to his impressive senior season resume that already includes All-Horizon League First Team honors, All-Horizon League Defensive Team honors, Horizon League All-Tournament Team and the 2016 Horizon League Tournament Championship.
Love, who helped lead the Phoenix to its first NCAA Tournament in 20 years, racked up a program single-season record 95 steals while also dishing out a team-high 129 assists. The native of Milwaukee started in all 36 of his team's games and led his squad to an impressive 23-13 final record.
He ranked in the top three in the NCAA in steals per game and recorded 13 games this season with 20 or more points. Love led the Phoenix individually in scoring in 14 games this year and notched his 1,000th career point in January.
