GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) - Of the 47 student-athletes that graduated this past Saturday from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, seven walked away with academic awards.
Four student-athletes accepted the Chancellor's Leadership Medallion, honoring graduating seniors that proved significant leadership while maintaining a grade point average of at least 3.25.
Marissa Cherek of women's cross country, Haley Lucas of women's swimming and diving, Megan Powers of volleyball, and James Wise of men's swimming and diving were chosen for their sustained leadership over their college careers, community involvement, and commitment to future achievement and growth.
Three graduating Green Bay student-athletes received University Leadership awards, which recognizes active community involvement over the past year while keeping a grade point average of at least 3.0.
Riley Garbe of men's cross country, Adrianna Sosnowska of volleyball, and Breanna Suess of women's cross country, were selected for their outstanding leadership ability, their service, and their potential for further achievement and growth.
