The Phoenix (5-3) has won four out of its last five games, while Bowling Green owns a perfect 3-0 record at home this year.

BANKING ON TANK
ShanQuan Hemphill, who goes by the nickname Tank, led Green Bay to a perfect 2-0 week with impressive wins over Northern Illinois (85-83) and Belmont (100-92) in nonconference action. The high-flying forward averaged a team-best 21.0 PPG and 6.5 RPG in the two home victories, shooting just over 73 percent (19-for-26) from the field. He poured in a career-high 25 points and notched his first career double-double with 10 rebounds against NIU, and followed that performance with 17 points against undefeated Belmont. He has scored in double-figures in five-straight games and is now tied for the team lead in scoring with 14.5 PPG this season.

NEW NET RANKINGS
The new NET (stands for NCAA Evaluation Tool) rankings are now being updated every day, the new evaluation tool for the NCAA that has replaced the RPI. Green Bay currently leads all Horizon League teams in the NET, sitting at 114 in the NCAA, with NKU the next closest at 123. GB is fresh off impressive wins over NIU and Belmont, and was competitive in losses at Iowa and at Oregon. The NET takes much more into consideration than the previous RPI, and Saturday's road contest at Bowling Green presents another opportunity for a good win by GB.

LEADING THE LEAGUE
Averaging 86.5 PPG through eight games this season, Green Bay leads all Horizon League teams in scoring average so far. The team has scored 70 plus points in all eight games, and has now hit the century mark twice after beating Belmont 100-92 on Saturday. The Phoenix also leads the HL in turnover margin at 5.13. Under Darner, GB has three of the top six highest scoring average seasons in program history, and is currently above last year's average of 76.3 PPG.

TRIO TEARING IT UP
Green Bay is led by a trio of scorers so far this season, with each averaging just over 14 points per game. Hemphill and JayQuan McCloud are both at 14.5 PPG, while Sandy Cohen sits at 14.1 PPG. The three have each been on a tear of late, and now account for nearly half (49.8 percent) the team's offensive production. All three have scored in double-figures in four-straight games

SUPER SANDY
Senior Sandy Cohen III leads the Horizon League in assists with 6.4 APG has now scored in double-figures in 14 of his last 15 games dating back to last season. Cohen was tabbed Horizon League Preseason First Team All-League, and so far as lived up to that billing. The Seymour, Wis., native also leads his team in rebounding, averaging 6.6 RPG, steals and blocks.

TURNING THEM OVER
GB is forcing its opponents into an average of 17 turnovers per game, and has forced double-digit turnovers in every game this season. The Phoenix and Darner pride themselves on forcing turnovers to create scoring opportunities, and the many turnovers have led to increase in scoring.
