BATAVIA, Ohio (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – Led by a pair of top 10 individual finishes, the Green Bay men's golf team finished third at the NKU Fall Classic at Elks Run Golf Club in Ohio. George Kneiser finished T-5 and Ben Gilles took eighth place in the team's third tournament this fall season, giving Kneiser his second top 10 finish thus far.
The sophomore Gilles was top 3 after the opening round, before finishing 4-over par and alone in eighth place. It's the first top 10 finish since he finished 2nd at the MoTown Collegiate last season for the native of Madison, playing some of the best golf of his young career.

Kneiser used a final round 69 to finish 2-over par in a three-way tie for fifth place. Brady Sarauer just missed out of the top 10, finishing T-11 at 7-over par thanks to an even par final round 71. Freshman Ryan Schuelke shot a 1-under par 70 in the second round, before finishing T-17 at 9-over par.
Green Bay led as a team by one stroke after the first two rounds, shooting a first round 293 and second round 286. The Phoenix shot a final round 292, which was bested by Robert Morris' 285 and Northern Kentucky's 284.
The Phoenix will next face Wisconsin Lutheran in a match play format this Friday, Sept. 28 in Watertown, Wis., at Watertown Country Club.
