GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – The Green Bay athletics department saw 105 student-athletes honored as members of the 2018 Horizon League Fall Academic Honor Roll,
as announced by the league office on Friday.
Green Bay was one of six schools that reached triple digits in the league, sitting fifth overall. Sports with the most representation were women's track and field/cross country with 153 student-athletes, ahead of women's soccer with 130 members. For the Phoenix, the women's soccer program led the way with 17 honorees, followed by women's swimming and diving with 14 and men's soccer with 12.
Candidates for the Honor Roll must meet three criteria in order to qualify:
1) Participation in at least one of the League's 19 sports during the most recent (or current) season.
2) Completion of three semesters (or four quarters, where applicable) as a full-time student at the same member institution.
3) A cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.20 (on a 4.00 scale).
