Mia Spain found the back of the net for the first time in her career as the Phoenix defeated Mississippi Valley State on Saturday night, 4-0.

Green Bay secured its fourth shutout of 2019 in the victory and allowed no shots on goal for the second time this season. The Phoenix dominated the match, amassing 29 shots in the game and placing 16 on net.

Grace Taylor got things started for the Phoenix in the 13
th minute with the first goal of the game and added another in the 24
th, assisted by
McKayla Kertscher, to increase GB's advantage. Spain's first score as a Phoenix came in the final minute of the first half after
Ellie Vasey found her in position to strike.

Caitlin Hawley scored her third goal of the season in the 62
nd minute and added some additional insurance to Green Bay's total. The Phoenix defense held strong all match and secured a 4-0 win, bringing its aggregate goal differential on the road trip to eight, including Thursday's 5-1 decision.

Green Bay wraps up its three-game road trip tomorrow afternoon when the Phoenix takes the pitch at Alcorn State at 1 p.m.
