Union, Ky. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – Battling the 12-team field at the NKU Fall Collegiate Classic in Kentucky, the Green Bay men's golf team finished 9th place after three rounds at Lassing Pointe Golf Club in Union, Kentucky. The Phoenix shot an opening round 289, but followed that with a 299 and 300 in the final round on Tuesday.
George Kneiser and Brady Sarauer finished with identical scores and a T22 finish, with Ben Gilles finishing T36 and Max Pasher T39. Kneiser and Sarauer finished 9-over par, highlighted by Kneiser's opening round 69.
Morehead State won the team title and Detroit Mercy's Anthony Occhiuto claimed the individual crown.
Green Bay will play Wisconsin Lutheran this weekend, and will take part in the Zach Johnson Invitational next week in Iowa.
