GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – Green Bay women's soccer suffered a setback in its home opener on Friday night, falling to Northern State in overtime 1-0.
The Phoenix dominated the attack all evening, outshooting the Wolves 17-6 and placing five shots on goal compared to the visitor's three.
GB also owned a strong advantage in corners at 5-1, evident of its consistent attack throughout the contest.
The game-winning goal came in the 95th minute for NSU's Gaby Roman after a cross from teammate Vanessa Meija.
Next up for the Green Bay is a trip to the State's capital, as the Phoenix heads to Madison to face No. 16 Wisconsin on Sunday at 1 p.m.
