BACK ON THE PITCH
After having to reschedule its season-opener and later cancel Marquette, Green Bay will finally get to open its regular season a week later when it hosts Northern Michigan at Aldo Santaga Stadium. The team did enjoy a 4-1 preseason win over Viterbo back on August 7 at home. GB had four different goal scorers in the game, after a lightning delay pushed back the opening kickoff. 

2021 SCHEDULE AT A GLANCE
GB will play all 11 Horizon League teams after four matches in the nonconference portion of the schedule, totaling 15 matches in 2021. Three of those nonconference matches will come at home. Jason Spain enters his third season as head coach of the Phoenix, going 7-10-1 in just his first season in 2019. The team returns its top four point scorers from a year ago, including team-leader Emily Murphy with three goals and one assist in only six matches.

ABOUT NMU
NMU returns the GLIAC Player of the Year in Caroline Halonen as well as All-GLIAC Honorable Mention Brooke Pietila. The Wildcats were the No. 3 seed in the 2020-21 GLIAC Tournament and advanced to the championship match for the first time in program history.

Green Bay will host St. Thomas on Thursday, Sept. 4 at 5 p.m. at Aldo Santaga Stadium.
