CHESTERTON, Ind. --- The Green Bay men's golf team played quality golf for two-straight days at the Valparaiso Fall Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, earning a third place finish in the 12-team field at Sand Creek Country Club. GB played best in the second and third round, putting in three rounds of 301-295-296, led individually by Ryan Schuelke's T16 finish at 7-over par. 

Green Bay finished an impressive third behind Wright State and Valparaiso, but beat out a slew of good programs in Xavier, DePaul, Bradley and league-foe Detroit Mercy. GB tied for the team lead with 157 pars and recorded 38 birdies, while finishing third-best on the par 3s with a 3.13 average on those holes. 

Austin Schnell finished T19 for the Phoenix, with Joe Forsting coming in 21st place. Max Pasher had the best individual round of any Phoenix golfer, recording a par 72 in the third round on Tuesday. Pasher finished T25 as did Zak Kulka as the fifth player to round out the scoring for GB.

GB will hit the course again next week at the SIUE Derek Dolenc Tournament in St. Louis, Missouri.
