GREEN BAY, Wis. – Green Bay Director of Athletics Josh Moon has announced the appointment of Alan Savage as Associate Athletic Director for Development. Savage's first day with the Phoenix is February 14.
 
"We are very excited to welcome Alan and his family to Phoenix country," Moon said. "Alan comes to us highly recommended and he brings great experience from a variety of Division I institutions that will help us better engage our passionate fans, friends, and alumni of Green Bay."
 
As the Associate AD for Development, Savage will assist in the development of annual giving goals and strategies for the Green Bay Athletics department and the Phoenix Fund. He will also organize and execute special events to assist in fundraising activities in the department.
 
"I would like to thank Josh Moon and Anthony Werner for this opportunity to serve the student-athletes, staff, fans, and alumni at Green Bay," Savage said. "The momentum on campus was incredibly apparent in my conversations with the search committee. I can't wait to join the team and help the university and department continue to reach new heights. My family and I are extremely excited to be a part of the Green Bay community. "
 
Savage comes to Green Bay after six years at Louisiana Tech University, where he most recently served as the Associate AD for Revenue Generation. Savage first joined LA Tech in 2016 as the Assistant AD for Ticket Sales & Operations, transitioned to the Associate AD for Development in 2020, and has been the Associate AD for Revenue Generation since June of 2021.
 
While in the development chair at LA Tech during the 2020-21 season, Savage oversaw a 20% growth in donors and an 8% growth in total giving dollars to the Louisiana Tech Athletic Club, the fundraising arm of the Louisiana Tech Athletics department. He was also a member of a team that raised $8.1 million in athletics contributions, the second most in department history. This amount was a 60% increase over the 2019-20 giving amounts.
 
"I am very appreciative of my years at Louisiana Tech and all that I learned while I was there," Savage added. "Thank you to the university and staff there that helped me grow as an administrator. I plan to bring that knowledge and passion to Green Bay."
 
A native of Nauvoo, Ill., Savage earned his bachelor's degree in Communications from Graceland University in 2009 and his master's degree in Sport Management from Western Illinois University in 2013. He and his wife Colleen have two sons, Maddox and Steele.
