INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Monday afternoon the Horizon League office announced the #HLMBB All-League Awards, and Green Bay men's basketball freshmen Kamari McGee and Cade Meyer were both selected to the Horizon League All-Freshman team.
 
McGee, a guard from Racine, Wis. is Green Bay's leading scorer and a three-time Horizon League Freshman of the Week. On the season, McGee averaged 11.3 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game. He had four 20+ point performances, but the best came on Dec. 9 against Wright State when he scored a career-high 24 points to go with five boards and three steals.
 
Cade Meyer is another building block for the Green Bay men's basketball program, garnering one Horizon League Freshman of the Week award of his own. Meyer was strong all season, but especially so in league play. In 20 Horizon League games, Meyer averaged 10.8 points and 5.2 rebounds on 49.4-percent shooting. Meyer scored a career-high 20 points against Cleveland State on Dec. 20, 2022. He almost notched a double-double against the Vikings, pulling down nine rebounds as well.
 
The 2022 Keeps Horizon League Basketball Championships will begin March 1 and 3 at campus sites, with all 12 teams looking to advance to Indianapolis and #REACHtheHORIZON on March 7-8 at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum. Green Bay is the No. 11 seed and is traveling to the No. 6 seed Detroit for a first round matchup tomorrow at 6 p.m. CT.

Every game of the tournament will be carried on ESPN networks with the first two rounds of the men's championship streamed on ESPN+, the semifinals on ESPNU and ESPN2, and the championship on ESPN.
