GREEN BAY, Wis. – The Green Bay men's soccer team is preparing for the upcoming 2022 season, and is looking to rebound from an uncharacteristic 2021 with a revamped roster. Head coach Jeremy Bonomo continues to add to the 2022 men's soccer roster, bringing in 15 more recruits ahead of their opening exhibition game at Northwestern on August 13. Bonomo is in his eighth season at the helm of the program.

"It's not something coaches want to do often [bringing in a class this size] but it's the route I wanted to take and a decision I made about 18 months ago", said Bonomo. "We've been treading water essentially due to a variety of uncontrollable factors. Once we hit the recruiting path, we were able to find the guys we wanted for 2022. They all fit what we like to do here and that's the most important part of this class and team. I'm looking forward to watching this group compete".

DYLAN MOUA | FORWARD | FR. | HAM LAKE, MINN. | ST. PAUL BLACKHAWKS
Bonomo on Moua: "Dylan attended our summer training center and is on the long list of kids we have worked with and decided he was the right fit for our program. I'm looking forward to seeing him continue to grow as a player and get onto the field to help our program".

JAKE LOFGREN | GOALKEEPER | GR. | MUSKEGON, MICH. | UNIVERSITY OF DAYTON
Bonomo on Lofgren: "Jake is a four-year Division I player that will bring experience and competition to our GK depth. He has the intelligence and tools to compete right away".

KAJUS KONTAUTAS | FORWARD | FR. | CHICAGO, ILL. | SOCKERS FC
Bonomo on Kontautas: "Kajus was a late signing, and we couldn't be happier to have him join the team. After moving to the US, he had a valuable experience at Sockers FC. I'm looking forward to seeing how he makes his next transition into the college landscape".

TOMMY COUGHLIN | MIDFIELDER | FR. | CRYSTAL LAKE, ILL. | ECLIPSE SC
Bonomo on Coughlin: "Tommy brings versatility and added dimension to our midfield. He's able to play several positions in the middle, and his work ethic is fantastic. His innate qualities will be a great example for others".

TONY MANCIU | MIDFIELDER | FR. | MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. | ST. PAUL BLACKHAWKS
Bonomo on Manciu: "Tony possesses the grit and work rate that we look for in our players. His passion for the game and his approach day in and day out ultimately led us to recruit him. Those qualities will help him succeed in the college game".

JADEN PRADO | DEFENDER/MIDFIELDER | FR. | YONKERS, NY | WEST CHARLES CHESTER FLAMES
Bonomo on Prado: "Jaden is a left-footed and versatile player that can play both in the attack and defense. He has been in a quality training environment that will help him be ready for his first college season".

LUCA CONTESTABILE | MIDFIELDER | SO. | CHASKA, MINN. | MINNESOTA THUNDER ACADEMY/PORTLAND TIMBERS
Bonomo on Contestabile: "Luca is a player we are very familiar with, having recruited him over the last few years. He is a more experienced player that took the non-traditional route to college. However, it's a route that will help him contribute and succeed at the college level".

DAMON HUMPHREY | MIDFIELDER | FR. | MAPLE GROVE, MINN. | MINNESOTA THUNDER ACADEMY
Bonomo on Humphrey: "Damon comes from a club with a tradition of producing technical players that fit our system. He is left-footed and can play multiple positions, which is what attracted us to Damon from the start".

BRUNO SZUMNY | DEFENDER | FR. | PALOS HILLS, ILL. | ECLIPSE SC
Bonomo on Szumny: "Bruno is a player with good composure on the ball while playing in the backline. His ability to link up play with the midfield is important and will help him fit into our style and system".

ALEX COLE | MIDFIELDER | ANDOVER, MINN. | UNIVERSITY OF HARTFORD
Bonomo on Cole: "Alex is a player we recruited in 2020-2021, so we know him well. He'll add a dynamic presence in the midfield, and his ability on the ball is what we look for in our central players. He'll certainly fit the system well".

JAKE PARISH | MIDFIELDER | MELBOURNE, VICTORIA | MELBOURNE VICTORY
Bonomo on Parish: "Jake comes from a level we know well and should transition to our level effectively. He can play in all front four positions and likely will see time in almost all of them. His play in and around the box will be a quality addition to the team".

CHRISTOPHER ALBUM | FORWARD | WEST VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA | WHITECAPS FC
Bonomo on Album: "We started to recruit Chris when COVID restrictions lifted. Coming from an MLS club we know well and have had successful players come through our program in the past, we are excited to see him get on the field upon arrival and put the ball in the back of the net".

ROHIN KAPILA | MIDFIELDER | REGINA, SASKATCHEWAN | WHITECAPS FC
Bonomo on Kapila: "Another Whitecaps product, Rohin will have the experience to compete immediately. His ability to play multiple spots in our backline will allow us to be flexible. He's the type of player that is always ready to train and always prepared on game day. That is critical at this level".

ALEKSANDER PITUCH | FORWARD | PALOS HILLS, ILL. | GALAXY SC
Bonomo on Pituch: "Aleks impressed me each time I saw him play. The two areas that stuck out were his work rate and goal scoring. Two main components we look for in our forwards. The future is bright for him!".

KEEGAN WALKER | FORWARD | TORONTO, CANADA | TORONTO FC
Bonomo on Walker: "Keegan is coming from MLS club Toronto FC. The training environment he has been in over the years should have him transition to our program quite well. He's a dynamic player that can test defenses with his pace and ability to make players around him better".

The Phoenix added five to the roster back in January, which included three transfers and two true freshmen.

HESRON BARRY | DEFENDER | SO. | BARTON C.C. | OCHO RIOS, JAMAICA
Bonomo on Barry: "We needed additional pace and power in our backline and we have gained that with Hesron. He'll bring an added dimension to our defense. His versatility will also allow us to use him in multiple spots."

JESUS GALVAN-GARCIA | DEFENDER | FR. | UNIVERSITY OF HARTFORD | BLAINE, MINN.
Bonomo on Galvan-Garcia: "Jesus joins a long line of talented players that we have had from Minnesota. Coming off an injury in his first season, I know he's eager to prove himself. His determination and approach to the game are exactly what we wanted."

HYEONSANG JANG | DEFENDER | SO. | PIMA C.C. | JEONJU, SOUTH KOREA
Bonomo on Jang: "Hyeonsang is a very technical player that is poised and composed on the ball. His ability to play in tight spaces out of the back is what impressed me from the moment I saw him play in 2019. Most importantly, he's a winner, having won the 2021 NJCAA National Championship."

JELONI MURRAY-POWELL | MIDFIELDER | FR. | ATHLETES INSTITUTE FC | PICKERING, ONTARIO
Bonomo on Murray-Powell: "Jeloni will be adding athleticism and physical play to our midfield. The way he plays the game is admirable. He also has an innate way to inspire others on the field to always bring their best. I see him blending in quite well with our existing roster."

CHRISTOPH SCHURZ | DEFENDER/MIDFIELDER | FR. | SG DYNAMO DRESDEN | DRESDEN, GERMANY
Bonomo on Schurz: "Christoph is coming to us after a very successful youth career in Germany. His U17 and U19 experience align with the type of player we want here. He's also had the opportunity to train with his club in the 2. Bundesliga which will serve him well here."
