AUSTIN, Texas – The College Sports Communicators released its Academic All-America Team Tuesday morning, and Hesron Barry collected yet another accolade. Barry has been reaping rewards for his play on the field and achievements off the turf.
Less than two weeks ago, the two-time Horizon League Defender of the Year was tabbed to the All-American Third Team by the United Soccer Coaches Association (USCA). On December 6, Barry was one of three Phoenix named to the USCA's All-Region Team. Following the HL regular season, he was named to the conference All-League First Team.
Barry helped guide the Horizon League's best defense to a conference championship and an NCAA Tournament appearance.
