Justman collects another award after being tabbed All-League Second Team by the Horizon League earlier this month and First Team All-Region by the NFCA a year ago. Green Bay's second baseman hit .323 over 53 games this season. She also broke GB's single-season doubles record (16) and individual career doubles record (36). Justman drilled two home runs (tied for second on the team) and drove in 33 (also second on the team).
Giese concluded her remarkable career last weekend at the Horizon League Championships. She broke 12 different records in the past two seasons and was rewarded by being named Horizon League Player of the Year on May 9. GB's center fielder and leadoff batter swiped 26 bases, breaking the single-season mark. She was lethal against HL pitchers, hitting at a .452 clip while pairing it with a .551 on-base percentage.
The awards honor softball student-athletes from the Association's 10 regions with first, second, and third-team selections. NFCA member head coaches from each respective region nominated student-athletes (eight maximum) and voted for the teams. All awarded student-athletes now become eligible for the 2023 NFCA Division I All-America squads.
