GREEN BAY, Wis. – Soccer season is near, and today head coach Jeremy Bonomo announced the 2023 recruiting class, which includes three transfers and four true freshmen.
Transfers
MYLES SOPHANAVONG | PEORIA, ILL. | MIDFIELDER | SIUE
Bonomo on Sophanavong:Â "Myles is an experienced player that will help bring competition to our central midfield. His style of play should complement our existing brand and what we do here".
KAZUKI OKAZAKI | NAGANO, JAPAN | DEFENDER | SOUTHERN NAZARENE UNIVERSITY
Bonomo on Okazaki:Â "Kazuki is an experienced player that can play on the left side. His ability to play multiple positions will add to our depth. I'm looking forward to getting him on the field upon his arrival".
JOSH SNYDER | PRINCETON, N.J. | GOALKEEPER | UNIVERSITY OF HARTFORD
Bonomo on Snyder:Â "Josh is bringing D1 experience to our GK group. With several young players, his presence will be a positive addition. He has all the tools to make the environment competitive".

Freshmen
LUKE NICHOLSON | LYON, MICH. | MIDFIELDER/FORWARD | VARDAR SC
Bonomo on Nicholson:Â "'LT' is a versatile attacking player that can play wide or up top. He has good pace and knows what to do in front of the goal, which is to finish. It will be fun to watch LT work with our attacking group. I suspect he'll fit in well".
BAYLOR DENU | BELOIT, WIS. | DEFENDER | ROCKFORD RAPTORS
Bonomo on Denu:Â "Baylor joins the long list of players we originally identified at our summer training centers. He came back again and again, and he impressed us every time. After watching him with his ENCL side, we knew he was the type of player we wanted here. He has tremendous upside".
DREW SWANCUTT | NORTHVILLE, MICH. | GOALKEEPER | MICHIGAN JAGUARS
Bonomo on Swancutt:Â "Drew is coming from a club in MI we know and respect. He has all the intangibles we look for in a young GK. It will be exciting as he works with our existing players and coaching staff in his pursuit to challenge for playing time".
OSCAR ARROYO | KIMBERLY, WIS. | MIDFIELDER/DEFENDER | FC WISCONSIN
Bonomo on Arroyo:Â "We've been watching Oscar since a young age when he first stepped foot on our campus for camp. Being from the NE Wisconsin area, we knew we wanted to get him in a Green Bay jersey. Oscar is what I describe as a late bloomer. He has grown physically and his game has grown as well. His technical ability and size make him the right fit for our program".
