GREEN BAY, Wis. – The 2023 schedule has arrived for Green Bay women's soccer! After a challenging 2022 campaign, GB will return to the pitch for 19 contests, including two exhibition games, 10 Horizon League matches, and eight home games. The Phoenix will play six of their 19 games in August.
"We are excited for our non-conference schedule, as we will face several quality opponents that our program has not played before," said Grutzner.
Returnees on the 2023 roster include defenseman Madeline Cruz, forward Zoey Pagels, and goalkeeper Payton Lang, who looks to take over as a starter after Annie Mason concluded her career last year.

The Phoenix will host Marquette in the first of a pair of exhibition games on August 8. GB will travel a couple of hours south to Madison to battle the Badgers to conclude preseason action on August 11.
The regular season begins August 17 when Green Bay gets a visit from Kansas State. Drake will visit Titletown on August 20 to wrap up a brief homestand.
An elongated trip opens on August 24 at DePaul, the first of five consecutive games away from home and a stretch of seven out of eight on the road. GB will follow suit with battles at North Florida (Aug. 31), Stetson (Sept. 3), Western Illinois (Sept. 7), and South Dakota State (Sept. 10), one of the top teams in the Summit League. "These top tier teams will prepare us for the tough Horizon League schedule where we plan on making an impact this season," commented Grutzner.
After hosting Wright State on Sept. 14, the Phoenix go back on the road for clashes against Robert Morris (Sept. 17) and Detroit Mercy (Sept. 24).
Green Bay will play four of its next six contests at home before battling in-state rival Milwaukee in the Cream City on October 25.
