GREEN BAY, Wis. – Head coach Julie Grutzner announced the hiring of Sydney McKee as the Graduate Assistant for women's soccer today. McKee, a Southeast Wisconsin native, comes to Titletown from Stetson University, where she recently graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Public Management.
"We are excited to add Sydney to our coaching staff as a graduate assistant," said Grutzner. "I have known Sydney for many years, having coached her in high school. She was an all-state contributor and four-year starter at Oregon High School and a Division I athlete at Stetson University. Her experience on the back line will help her develop our young players. Her knowledge of the game will help strengthen our program going forward."
McKee has extensive experience in the game beyond Oregon High School and Stetson University. In 2019, she assisted in creating drills for youth players at the Stetson Football Association. Back home in Oregon, Wis., she was a youth coach at the Oregon Youth Soccer Association.
Her role with the Phoenix will include organizing drills, travel, and team projects, in addition to providing assistance to the coaching staff.
