GREEN BAY, Wis. – Green Bay Athletics is excited to welcome two more graduate assistants to the staff. The department announced today the hiring of Zach Taylor and Vanessa Thiel as Graduate Assistants for Events & Operations.
Taylor, a native of Marysville, Michigan, comes to Titletown after graduating from Western Michigan in April 2023 with a degree in Sports Management. He gained experience in the field at WMU as an Athletics Facilities Staff Member, setting up and tearing down for events while assisting with the preparation of fields, courts, and other playing surfaces.
"I am excited to have Zach and Vanessa on our team," said Sean Stelter, Director of Athletics Events & Operations. "They will be valuable leaders for us, and I can't wait to see how they impact our department."
Thiel joins the staff from UW-River Falls, where she graduated in May with a degree in Health and Human Performance. She was part of the Falcon Center Event Staff at UWRF, assisting in the preparation, tear-down, and clean-up of arena facilities. Thiel was also a youth sports coach at Skyhawks Sports Academy in Burnsville, Minnesota. She earned Dean's List Honors and was part of the UWRF SAAC (student-athlete advisory committee).
