INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The Horizon League has tabbed Cassie Schiltz as the Under Armour Player of the Week. Schiltz dominated on the hardwood this past weekend, helping Green Bay take down Cleveland State on Saturday before beating Purdue Fort Wayne yesterday. It's the first Player of the Week award in Schiltz's career and just the fourth time a GB player has collected the accolade since the 2020-21 season.
She helped power the Phoenix past the reigning champion Vikings with a career-high 27 points, drilling six three-pointers along the way. Schiltz tied for the sixth-most threes made in a single game in program history, a record that had previously occurred 14 times.
On New Year's Day, the Luxemburg native reached double figures against PFW, scoring all 10 of her points in the second half, including seven in the third quarter, to help the Phoenix pull away from the Mastodons. She inched towards triple-double territory, grabbing six rebounds while piling up a career-high nine assists.
Green Bay has won seven of its last eight contests, including a five-game homestand sweep that concluded yesterday. GB is back in action this weekend when they travel to Northern Kentucky for a battle against the Norse on Friday before visiting Wright State for a Sunday tilt.
