BROWN DEER, Wis. – The Green Bay men's and women's swimming and diving team battled at the Wisconsin Showcase Saturday evening. GB had strong individual performances from both the men's and women's teams.

MEN'S RECAP
Jerrett Maalis impressed by posting two lifetime bests in the backstroke. He had a time of 50.56 in the 100-yard event before finishing the 200-yard with a time of 1:54.12, with both times good for a first-place completion. Eli Zimmerman took the victory in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 57.57, which is also a lifetime best. Chris Aristondo impressed in the 400-yard IM, finishing second with a time of 4:08.38.

WOMEN'S RECAP
Freshman Elise Pasholk was successful in the 200 and 500-yard freestyle. Her 200 time was 1:56.17, good for fourth place, while her 500 score was 5:11.62, which earned her first place. Emily Allen, a junior, also had a good day in the 200 and 500 freestyles. She posted a time of 1:55.37, finishing just ahead of Pasholk in second place. Allen ensued with a second-place completion in the 500-yard event, finishing just four seconds behind Pasholk with a time of 5:15.85.

COMING UP
Green Bay will begin a slate of four consecutive home meets this coming Friday, October 25 against IU Indy.
