GREEN BAY, Wis. – Head Coach Julie Grutzner announced this afternoon the addition of Ryann Locante, a transfer from Ball State.
It's a return home for Locante, who is from Brookfield, Wisconsin, about two hours south of Green Bay, and attended Brookfield High School. She spent the last four seasons with the Cardinals, appearing in 37 matches. Locante, a defender, tallied her first collegiate goal in the season opener last fall at home against Mercyhurst. Locante plays for FC Milwaukee Torrent, an American professional team, during the summer.
"We are excited to add someone with the competitive experience as Ryann to our backline," said Grutzner. "A Wisconsin native that I remember from back in her successful high school days, her ability to get up and down on the outside will create problems for our opponents as she will add a new dimension to our attack. We are thrilled to bring Ryann back to her home state."
