Women's Soccer Welcomes 2024 Recruiting Class

Eleven players join the squad, including six from the Dairyland

GREEN BAY, Wis. – The Green Bay women's soccer program announced Thursday afternoon the addition of 11 true freshmen to the 2024 roster.
 
"We are very excited to welcome 11 outstanding freshmen to our program this fall," said Head Coach Julie Grutzner. "We are thrilled to add a solid class of players from Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, Michigan, and Puerto Rico to our roster."
 
"Each of these players come from successful club and high school programs bringing a winning mentality to our team," continued Grutzner. "We feel many of them will fight for starting spots while adding athleticism and speed to every position."
 
Sydney Bollis | Defender | Franklin, Wis. | SC Wave
Bollis has been captain of her SC Wave team the past two years leading the team to a State Cup Championship in 2023, GA National Playoffs in 2023, and GA Champions Cup qualifier in 2024. Sydney has guided Franklin High School team for the past three years, earning First Team All-Conference from 2021-2023 and Honorable Mention All-State in 2023. Sydney was voted team MVP three times and has earned the WIAA Scholar Athlete award three times.
 
Veronica Decker | Forward | Pulaski, Wis. | Wisconsin United
Decker was a Wisconsin State Cup finalist in 2022 and finished undefeated in E64 Regional League North Division in 2023. Veronica, a four-year varsity player and captain at Pulaski High School, has earned all-conference honors in 2021 and 2023, Team Offensive Player of the Year in 2023, and was the second leading scorer in the FRCC Conference in 2023. Veronica is a member of the National Honor Society, was awarded the Pulaski Academic Achievement Award three times and was the recipient of the Presidential Outstanding Academic Achievement award two times.
 
Gracie Freyberg | Goalkeeper | Northfield, Minn. | Salvo SC
Freyberg was named All-Conference and Team MVP at Northfield High School in 2022 and Honorable Mention All-Conference and team captain in 2023. She was also the coordinator for her team's Lace for a Cure fundraiser where they raised money for breast cancer research.
 
Senah Hanes | Forward | Neenah, Wis. | Wisconsin United
Senah was a Wisconsin State Cup finalist in 2022 and finished undefeated in E64 Regional League North Division in 2023. Senah helped Kimberly High School to the FVA Conference title in 2023 while earning several awards over her four years on varsity. She was named First Team All-Conference in 2022 and 2023, Post Crescent All Area Honorable Mention in 2022 and Post Crescent All Area First Team in 2023. Senah was a Northeast Wisconsin Girls Soccer Player of the Year nominee in 2023 and Honorable Mention All-State in 2023. She is a four-time Scholar Athlete recipient and honor roll student.
 
Alondra Iriarte | Goalkeeper | Carolina, Puerto Rico | Western Reserve Academy
Iriarte is a member of the U20 Puerto Rican National Team. She was named team MVP in 2021 and 2022 for both futsal and soccer in Puerto Rico. At Western Reserve Academy, Alondra was named Second Team Tri-County in 2022, First Team Tri-County in 2023, First Team Greater Akron in 2023, and Defensive MVP in 2023. Academically, Alondra earned High Honor Roll in Puerto Rico.
 
Abby Lom | Midfielder | Kimberly, Wis. | SC Wave
 Lom has helped lead her SC Wave club team to a state cup championship in 2023, GA National Playoffs in 2023, and GA Champions Cup qualifier in 2024. At Kimberly High School, Abby was a four-year varsity letter winner and two-year captain who has received Second Team All-Conference in 2022, Honorable Mention All-Area in 2022, and First Team All-Conference and All Area in 2023 while helping lead her team to the FVA Conference title. She is a four-time All Scholar Athlete recipient and honor roll student, a member of the National Honor Society and has received the AP Scholar Award with Distinction.
 
Reagan Schultz | Forward | New Lenox, Ill. | Chicago Inter
Reagan Schultz was named All Conference in 2022 and 2023 at Lincoln Way Central High School while also receiving the Sportsmanship Award in 2022 and 2023. She has been on high honor roll through high school. Reagan was inducted into the National Honor Society and the Science National Honor Society. She is also an AP Scholar.
 
Charlise Smith | Defender | Waunakee, Wis. | Madison 56ers
Smith has earned First Team All-Conference in 2023, Most Outstanding Player and captain in 2023, while leading Waunakee to back-to-back conference championships in 2022 and 2023 and a state qualification in 2022. She also earned Second Team All-Conference in 2022, a conference championship in 2022 and state qualifiers in 2020 and 2022 in cross country. Academically, Charlise earned Academic All State in 2022 and 2023.
 
Makenna Smith | Defender | Ortonville, Mich. | Liverpool FC
Smith was invited to the ECNL Conference Selection Camp in Cincinnati and the US Soccer ID camp three times while playing year-round for Liverpool Soccer Club.
 
Laney Stark | Forward | Carol Stream, Ill. | Rockford Raptors
Stark has had a stellar career at St. Charles North so far. She has earned All-Conference three times from 2021-2023, Newcomer of the Year in 2021, All Sectional Selection Honorable Mention in 2021, and All Sectional Selection in 2023. Laney was also named to the 2022 Chicago Red Stars All-Tournament Team. Academically, she has been named Academic All-Conference in 2022 and 2023. 
 
Abby Wood | Defender | Green Bay, Wis. | Wisconsin United
Wood earned All-Conference recognition in 2022 and 2023 while helping captain her team to a state appearance in 2023. She is also a high honor roll student at Bay Port High School.
