GREEN BAY, Wis. – Swimming and Diving Head Coach Alex Lewis has announced the hiring of Marija Dodik as the Graduate Assistant for Swimming and Diving.

Dodik earned a BS in Exercise Physiology from Saint Francis University this May and spent the last four seasons on the Saint Francis swim team. She was a team captain for the 2023-24 season. Marija was also on the Croatian National Finswimming and Swimming teams.

"I'm excited that I've started a new role as Graduate Assistant Coach for the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Swimming and Diving team!", said Dodik. "I'm thrilled to bring my knowledge of exercise physiology and nutrition to support and mentor our student-athletes. Looking forward to contributing to the team and helping our athletes excel!".

In addition to her four years as a collegiate student-athlete, Marija assisted in over 150 workouts as the Strength and Conditioning Intern at Saint Francis. The workouts included time with the football, men's basketball, women's water polo, and women's softball teams. She holds several certifications, including the International Life-Saving Federation, the Croatian Red Cross, and the American College of Sport Medicine.

"Marija brings a ton of experience and knowledge to the Phoenix," said Lewis. "Her undergraduate degree and experience as a Division I athlete will be a huge asset. Marija also brings energy and passion that bleeds into a positive culture! We are excited to have her with the Phoenix!".

The Phoenix begin their regular season slate at St. Thomas on October 4.
