GREEN BAY, Wis. – Under the guidance of the Assistant AD for Academic Services,
Mike Kline, GB student-athletes have finished with a 3.0 or better for the 50
th straight semester. Phoenix student-athletes have also had a 3.3 or better GPA for the past 20 semesters. Kline, the longest-tenured member in the Green Bay Athletics department, has overseen the rise and continued academic excellence of the Green Bay student-athlete body.
The fall 2024 GPA is the best yet for Green Bay student-athletes, with the Phoenix recording a 3.61 GPA, the best in the history of the athletic department.

A crucial player in our institution's long history of academic achievement, Coach Kline has instilled a strong drive for excellence in both our staff and student-athletes. Without his leadership, our successes would not have been possible."
As a whole, Phoenix student-athletes attained a semester GPA of 3.61, with 10 of GB's 14 varsity programs boasting a 3.65 or higher GPA. Each of the 14 programs achieved at least a 3.25 GPA.
Over 92.6 percent of Green Bay student-athletes recorded at least a 3.0 GPA, while 30.2 percent tallied a 4.0 GPA. Women's basketball led the way as a team with a 3.87 GPA, with women's golf just behind at 3.86.
