WEEK IN REVIEW
MEN'S BASKETBALL
The Phoenix men fell in a pair of Horizon League road games last week. GB dropped a 74-51 contest at Wright State on Thursday, January 2 followed by a 78-60 loss at Northern Kentucky on Saturday, Jan. 4. The games marked the first for Phoenix newcomer Yonatan Levy. Levy, a 6'9" freshman forward from HaMerkaz, Israel played for Hapoel Eilat of the Israeli Basketball Premier League in 2023-24 and received final eligibility certification from the NCAA in December. WOMEN'S BASKETBALL
Green Bay rallied from a 12-point second-half deficit en route to its third-straight win, defeating the Northern Kentucky Norse 78-59 Thursday night at the Kress Center. The Phoenix was paced by Jenna Guyer's 22 points, a new career-high after she scored her previous career-high 18 in the last game against Parkside. Natalie McNeal tallied 17, Cassie Schiltz added 15, and Callie Genke chipped in with 10 more. Miah Meyer also scored eight points, her second-highest tally this season. Green Bay gave up just 17 points in the entire second half.

Jenna Guyer finished two points shy of a double-double as GB triumphed over Wright State on Saturday afternoon. Guyer had 10 rebounds, a career-high, while tallying eight points. No. 30 has posted a career-high in three consecutive games – in points against Parkside (18) before besting that on Thursday against Northern Kentucky (22), all before recording her best mark on the board this afternoon versus WSU. GB was on cruise control in the fourth quarter, getting early buckets from Kondrakiewicz before going up by 19 on a Bailey Butler jumper. The Phoenix never looked back and extended its winning streak to four, the longest of the season.
