Jahnke Stays Perfect at the Bradley Pink Invite

Jahnke Stays Perfecft, Sets School Record at Pink Invite

Peoria, Ill. -  Green Bay Cross Country has had five races this season, and junior Noah Jahnke has had five wins after winning Friday afternoon's race at the Bradley Pink Invite.  Jahnke finished the 8k course with a time of 23:30.35, breaking his own school record once again.  The men's team finished 12th out of 21.  The women's team finished 19th out of 24 with Cianna Wipperfurth as the first Phoenix to cross the finish line.

Men's Recap – The junior from Green Bay, Noah Jahnke, remains perfect on the year after winning the Bradley Pink Invite.  Jahnke was neck and neck with Jayden Rosslee from Bradley throughout most of the race, but Jahnke started to pull away around the 7k marker to finish 13 seconds ahead of the second place. Mason Gates was the next Phoenix across the line in 45th with a time of 25:00.34. Ethan Onesti was only a second behind in 49th place.

Women's Recap – Freshman Cianna Wipperfurth was the first Phoenix across the line, scoring 80th with a 6K time of 22:05.7, setting a personal best.  Another freshman, Madison Lotten, was the next Green Bay runner to finish, scoring in 104th.

 Next up for both teams is the Horizon League Championships, which will take place on Saturday, November 3rd, in Fort Wayne, Indiana.
