GREEN BAY, Wis. – After an exciting slate of first-round action, the Green Bay women's basketball team now knows who they will face in the quarterfinal round of the Horizon League Championships.
The Phoenix, boasting the number one seed, will host the number 10-seeded Oakland Golden Grizzlies. Tipoff is slated for 7:00 p.m. on Thursday at the Kress Center. Fans can purchase their tickets here.
GB swept Oakland in the regular season, defeating the Golden Grizzlies 75-39 on the road on February 13 and 69-39 at the Kress Center on January 18. The 39 points given up by Green Bay in each of those contests are tied for a season-low that GB has surrendered.
The other three quarterfinal matchups scheduled for Thursday night are:
- No. 4 Robert Morris vs. No. 5 Northern Kentucky (4:30 p.m. CST, ESPN+)
- No. 3 Cleveland State vs. No. 6 Detroit Mercy (4:30 p.m. CST, ESPN+)
- No. 2 Purdue Fort Wayne vs. Wright State (6:00 p.m. CST, ESPN+)
The winner of the quarterfinal matchups will head to Indianapolis for the semifinal round on March 10 at the Corteva Coliseum. The Championship game is on March 11 and will air nationally on ESPN2.
