Crist, the 6-foot-3 combo guard, was the final addition for Darner, joining the Phoenix from Don Bosco Prep in Indiana. There he averaged 15.1 PPG, 6.7 APG and 3.8 RPG while shooting 40 percent from beyond the arc. Crist played both point guard and off guard during his senior season, where he also registered a few double-doubles.
"I think I will be able to help lead the team vocally. I think I can shoot it pretty well and I like to get up and down and put points on the board, and that is Coach Darner's type of play. It's a good fit," Crist said.
He also shot 89 percent from the free throw line and accounted for 1.7 steals per game. He finished his senior year with an impressive 6.7 to 1.6 assist to turnover ratio. Crist will be one of five freshmen to join Green Bay this season.
"Hunter can play both guard spots and has the ability to run the team and get up the floor. He is a year older as a true freshman after playing a year in prep school. We're looking forward to having Hunter in our program," Darner said.
