Phoenix Alumni Cross Country Course at Shorewood Park
Originally a 9-hole golf course on the campus of UW-Green Bay, Shorewood was repurposed as a cross country course in the fall of 2022. Shorewood Cross Country Course is a premiere course in the region and takes runners through woods and rolling hills on the campus of UW-Green Bay. The first meet hosted on the course was the De Pere High School Cross Country Meet on Thursday, September 1. Since then, the course has hosted numerous high school conference meets as well as the Horizon League Championships in the Fall of 2024.
UW-Green Bay’s regional focus on inclusivity in higher education, access for all, sustainability and sharing space with the community, are a high priority for the leadership of the university. Plans include utilizing the space for a winter Nordic ski trail for community use and university athletics program.
