Our program is coed, and one of the qualities we value most is strong leadership. We strive to develop athletes who are not only skilled performers but also positive representatives of UW-Green Bay. We expect our team members to demonstrate professionalism, accountability, respect, and a strong work ethic both on and off the mat. Our focus is on building strong fundamentals, safe stunt progression, and a supportive team culture where teammates are committed to helping one another succeed.
Preferred skills:
- Tumbling: Tumbling is preferred but it is not a strict requirement to make the team. Standing tucks are the preferred tumbling level, but we also place a great deal of value on well-rounded athletes who bring strong stunting abilities, leadership qualities, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn and grow.
- Stunting Expectations: One of the biggest things we look for is versatility. We value athletes who are comfortable contributing in multiple stunt positions, whether that is flying, basing, or back spotting. The ability and willingness to fill different roles helps create a stronger and more adaptable team.
- For bases and back spots: Experience in multiple positions is always a plus. For flyers, we look for strong body control, flexibility, confidence in the air, and skills such as heel stretches on both sides and strong arabesques. Coed stunt experience is also beneficial, but not required.
Green Bay Packers Opportunities
We currently do not participate in game day experiences at this time, but have potential to be back on the sidelines in the future. At this time we work closely with the community outreach events for the Packers. These opportunities can vary from year to year, but they provide a unique experience for our athletes and are one of the many exciting aspects of being part of the program.
Tryouts
Our next tryouts for the 2027-2028 team will be held sometime in April 2027. We will post the official date, registration information, and tryout materials on our Instagram account once details are finalized, so I encourage you to follow along for updates.
Practice Schedule
During the academic year, our regular practice schedule is Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. beginning in September. Attendance to all practices and events is mandatory. We perform at all home men's and women's basketball games, with potential to travel depending on the Horizon League and NCAA Tournaments.
