Each week, the Phoenix volleyball players award a DESIRE t-shirt to one of their teammates based on her performance, in practice and matches, from the previous week. DESIRE represents the Green Bay Volleyball Way. It stands for:

• Drive -- energy and willpower to be the best; a striving towards excellence.
• Energy -- ability to move objects forward.
• Strength -- physical, mental and emotional.
• Intensity -- magnitude of force and energy; intensity is synomonous with focus. 
• Responsibility -- to be entrusted with something; we are all responsible for the program. 
• Enthusiasm -- passionate interest and emotion; we share common passions and we celebrate as a team. 

On Sundays, our players vote for the teammate they feel is most deserving of wearing the DESIRE t-shirts because she embodies the meaning of DESIRE and that person earns the right to wear the t-shirts in practice the following week. It's a great way to show a player how her teammates feel about her efforts in the gym and her impact on the team. Our first DESIRE winner of the 2010 season was Karli Koralewski -- congrats K!
