- Green Bay
will be hosting a number of athletics events at the Kress Events
Center in conjunction with UW-Green Bay's Family Weekend. The
weekend's athletics events include two volleyball matches, exhibition games for both basketball programs and men's soccer's Senior Day.
The volleyball program kicks off the weekend on Thursday night, hosting Butler at the Kress Center at 7 p.m. The team also will host Wright State for its Senior Day match and home finale on Saturday at 2 p.m.
The men's basketball team's lone appearance at the Kress Center in 2011-12 and its lone exhibition game will be Friday night at 7 p.m. Tickets for the contest are just $10 for adults and $7 for youth.
The Green Bay men's soccer team will play its final home game on Saturday, hosting Valparaiso at Aldo Santaga Stadium in an important Horizon League contest at 1 p.m.
The women's basketball team concludes Saturday's events by hosting Cedarville on Saturday at 7 p.m. It will be the team's final exhibition before officially starting the 2011-12 season. The Phoenix defeated Michigan Tech 59-39 in an exhibition on Oct. 30.
Aside from the three athletics events on Saturday, Green Bay will also be hosting Phoenix FanFest from 3-8 p.m. at the Kress Center. The event, which is free to attend, will include numerous activities, including
inflatables, face painting, balloons, games, an appearance from Phlash the
Phoenix and the opportunity to get autographs from your favorite Green Bay
student-athletes.
Kids that attend Phoenix Fan Fest will receive free admission
to the women's basketball game.
