Green Bay Recognized at College Sports Video Summit

GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) - Sports Video Group held its annual College Sports Video Summit on June 7-8 in Atlanta, and Green Bay was selected as an honorable mention choice in the "special feature" category for its Phoenix Flix production History of Green Bay Women's Basketball.

The unique video feature highlights the storied history of the women's basketball program at Green Bay and was produced by Ryan Hartwig. Executive producers on the project included Jill Wunrow and Adam Halfmann.

Those who give perspective on the program throughout the feature are former head coach Carol Hammerle, team physician Dr. James Hinckley, current Green Bay players and head coach Matt Bollant. The video debuted at halftime of the Horizon League Men's Basketball Game of the Week on Feb. 26.

"This is an impressive recognition for our athletics department and a statement on the hard work and creativity, not only on this project but throughout the year, of producer Ryan Hartwig as well as Adam Halfmann and Jill Wunrow," said Director of Athletics Communications Andrew Gavin. "To be viewed among the high-profile schools in this category is an accomplishment and a proud achievement for our department."

Green Bay was in good company with the award winner in the category produced by the University of Oregon. Other finalists included: University of Michigan, University of Dayton, Stanford University, Gamecock Productions/South Carolina Athletics and the Atlantic Coast Conference. Other honorable mention selections were: Mountaineer Sports Network/West Virginia, Oregon, West Coast Conference, UCLA, West Virginia, Marquette, Quinnipiac and the University of Georgia IMG New Media.
