GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – After a successful weekend for Green Bay volleyball, that included a win over league-leading Oakland and hard-fought match against Wright State, junior libero Jillian Bauer (Verona, Wis.) has received Horizon League Defensive Player of the Week honors for her efforts this past weekend, as announced by the league office Monday afternoon.

Bauer earned Defensive Player of the Week honors after tallying 28 digs in each of Green Bay's matches this past weekend. She had 28 digs for the Phoenix in the four-set win over Oakland on Friday night and then followed up with another 28 digs in five sets in Green Bay's match versus Wright State. For the year, Bauer ranks second in the Horizon League with an average of 4.81 digs per set.

The Phoenix looks to build off the momentum from last weekend as they hit the road this week to play at UIC on Friday and Valparaiso on Saturday.
