DAYTON, Ohio (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – Sophomore Megan Powers (Glendale, Ariz.) continued her strong recent play with a team-high 10 kills, but the Green Bay volleyball team fell 3-0 (25-19, 25-20, 28-26) at Wright State on Friday afternoon.
Powers tallied 10 kills to lead the Phoenix offense, while junior Jillian Bauer (Verona, Wis.) recorded an impressive 20 digs from her libero position to help the defense.
In support of Powers, a sophomore transfer, freshmen Beth Kuske (Germantown, Wis.) and Taylor Totka (Racine, Wis.) each added eight kills. Another freshman – Halle Barnabo (Green Bay, Wis.) – reached double figures in digs for the second-straight match.
The Phoenix will close out its season on Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m., playing at Oakland.
