GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – The Green Bay volleyball team dropped a tough five-set match at the Kress Center on Friday night, letting Oakland slip away and claim the 3-2 win. The Phoenix (14-7, 6-3 HL) was led offensively by Megan Powers, who totaled a match-high 17 kills against the second-place Golden Grizzlies (15-8, 7-2 HL).
Two other Phoenix players tallied double-digit kills, as Lydia DeWeese and Jessica Wolf each added 14 kills. The win by Oakland gives them sole possession of second place in the Horizon League, while Green Bay is now one of three teams with three losses in a tie for third place.
