GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – The Green Bay volleyball team won its 16th game of the season on Saturday evening at the Kress Center, cruising to a 3-0 victor over UIC on Parents night. The Phoenix (16-7, 8-3 HL) was never challenged by the visiting Flames (14-11, 2-9 HL), earning the season sweep in the process.
Senior Amber Kelly served up an ace to win the match in the third set, while fellow senior Megan Powers led the Phoenix attack with 11 kills on a .526 hitting clip. Maddie Yoss added 29 assists and Jessica Wolf recorded sevin kills. Lydia DeWeese hit .615 with nine kills and a pair of blocks to aid in the effort.
