GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – The Green Bay volleyball team knocked off first-place Cleveland State in thrilling fashion on Wednesday evening at the Kress Center, winning 3-2 and taking over sole possession of second place in the Horizon League in the process. With Oakland losing at Valpo earlier in the evening, Green Bay now stands alone at 11-4 and currently owns the No. 2 seed and a bye to the semifinals in the upcoming Horizon League Tournament to be held in Cleveland next weekend.
Four players recorded double-digit kills, with senior Megan Powers (17) leading the way whle playing her final game in the Kress Center. Jessica Wolf (14), Lydia DeWeese (13) and Taylor Totka (13) each played strong at the net.
Maddie Yoss set up 55 assists, while Austyn Everingham tallied 20 digs with Vanessa Buman recording 11 digs of her own.
