GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – The Green Bay Athletics Hall of Fame welcomed three new members on Saturday (Feb. 27) night, as softball standout Connie Scheidt Koceja, volleyball star Jessie Jorgenson (Theys) and the historic 1993-94 men's basketball team were honored at an induction ceremony at Oneida Country Club.

Jorgenson, Scheidt and John Martinez and coach Dick Bennett from the team, all spoke in front of family and supporters in attendance. University Chancellor Dr. Gary L. Miller and Director of Athletics Mary Ellen Gillespie also spoke at the event.

The 2016 class of inductees, the 19th class in history, brings membership in the Athletics Hall of Fame to 72 honorees. A complete list of the current Hall of Fame members can be found online here.
