MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) --- The Green Bay men's basketball team took part in a Hurricane Relief exhibition game on Sunday afternoon at 15^th-ranked Minnesota, falling 115-86 at the Maturi Pavilion in its final preseason action of the 2017-18 season.

Minnesota, who is currently ranked 15^th in the NCAA in both the AP and USA Today Coaches polls, showed off its size and skill for 40 minutes in front of its home crowd. More importantly, Green Bay used the game to get its younger players experience and to continue to gel as a team on the floor.

All 10 players to play for the Phoenix scored in the game, led by Khalil Small's double-double with 20 points, 10 rebounds and six assists. TJ Parham, Trevian Bell and Will Chevalier also finished in double figures, scoring 17, 12 and 10 points respectively.

Green Bay shot much better in the second half, improving to 46.3 percent from its 35.7 percent in the first half.  The team also finished a perfect 7-for-7 at the free throw line and went 11-for-26 from 3-point range.

The game raised a large amount of money towards hurricane relief efforts in Puerto Rico, which was the primary reason this game was scheduled a few weeks back. At the conclusion of the game, the University was still totaling the amount raised was estimated to be over $25,000.

Green Bay will now prepare for its regular season opener next Tuesday (Nov. 14) when it travels south to take on Northern Illinois in Dekalb, Ill. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m. at the NIU Convocation Center and the game will be streamed live on ESPN3.
