ALL-TIME SERIES VS DETROIT MERCY
Green Bay owns a 47-8 advantage in the all-time series when taking the floor against Detroit Mercy. Most recently, the Phoenix defeated the Titans, 64-52, in the HL Tournament Championship to secure an automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament. Although Green Bay split with Detroit Mercy in last year's regular season, the Phoenix has won 12 of the past 13 meetings.
MARVELOUS MONTH FOR THE PHOENIX
Green Bay has historically dominated during the month of January, owning a 27-1 record over the past four seasons in the first month of the New Year. The Phoenix has won 13-straight games in January and is undefeated on the road in that four-year span.
THE RISING PHOENIX
Green Bay continued its climb in both the AP Poll and USA Today Coaches Poll this week, rising to No. 23 and No. 22, respectively.
DEFENSIVE DISPLAY
It is no secret that Green Bay's defense has been locking down teams all season, currently boasting the best statistical defense in the country and allowing only 47.4 PPG. This past Saturday, Green Bay held Cleveland State to just 12 points in the opening half and followed that up by also allowing IUPUI just 12 points in the opening half of Monday's game.
BATTLE ON THE BOARDS
Green Bay has dominated the battle on the boards all season long, outrebounding its opponents in 15 of its 17 matchups this season. In total, the Phoenix holds a 648-512 rebounding edge over its opposition through 17 games.
DEFENSIVE DOMINANCE
Green Bay currently owns the best statistical defense in the country, allowing a lowly 46.6 PPG. That stat alone is impressive, but when you factor in that five matchups this season have featured opponents that competed in the 2017 NCAA Tournament - one of which was the national runner-up - it's even more impressive. Green Bay ranks 12th in RPI entering the matchup with Detroit Mercy.
PAINTING A PICTURE
Green Bay has dominated the paint this season and held an advantage scoring inside every game this year. All told, the Phoenix has outscored its opponents 578-212 in the paint through 17 games and held a double-digit scoring advantage inside in 15 games this year.
LINDSTROM MAKING LEAPS
In Green Bay's outing at Northern Kentucky (12.30.17),
Jessica Lindstrom surpassed the 800-rebounds mark with her seventh double-double (20pts/12rebs) of the season. Lindstrom currently ranks fifth (second in the D1 era) on Green Bay's all-time rebounding list with 849, fourth is Chari Nordgaard with 862 (first in the D1 era).
