GREEN BAY, Wis. --- Notching its second-straight Horizon League victory in the team's final game at the Resch Center this season, Green Bay cruised to an 85-67 win over Youngstown State on Saturday afternoon. Senior Khalil Small led the Phoenix with 27 points, his seventh 20-plus point scoring effort in his last nine games overall.

The Phoenix (10-15, 5-7 HL) knocked down 11 3-pointers in the win, avenging its earlier defeat to the Penguins (6-17, 4-6 HL) in Ohio. GB has now won 3 of its last 5 games, after dropping five in a row after starting 2-0.

Green Bay took a 10-0 lead to start the game, and never trailed throughout the 40 minutes. GB led for all but 9 seconds of the game, when the two teams were tied at 0-0 to open play.

Kameron Hankerson came through with 12 points off the bench, going 2-for-3 from long range and 4-for-4 from the free throw line. Hankerson has now reached double-figures in five of his last six games, coming off the bench in each game and is now averaging in double-figures this season.

GB led by as many as 20 points at the 6 minute mark of the second half and YSU came no closer than 15 points the rest of the way. TJ Parham added an exclamation point to the win, burying a pair of 3s in the closing minutes.

David Jesperson and Sandy Cohen III each scored 11 points, with Jesperson connected on three of six 3-point attempts. Cohen threw down a thunderous and-1 dunk in the second half, bringing the crowd to its feet.

Former Phoenix head coach Mike Heideman was recognized at halftime by an emotional speech from Hall of Fame coach Dick Bennett. Heideman was joined at centercourt by Green Bay alumni and past coaches.

Green Bay will go for its first three-game winning streak in its next game, when travels down I-43 to take on Milwaukee. The Phoenix and Panthers will tip at 7 p.m. at the UWM Panther Arena on Friday, Feb. 2.
