Women's Soccer Wraps Season with Tie Against Youngstown State

GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) – A goal from Brianna Messner in the 87th minute granted Green Bay a 1-0 lead with just over three minutes left, but Youngstown State's Isabella Futchi found the back of the Phoenix net with 41 seconds remaining to force overtime and eventually a 1-1 draw.

Green Bay concludes its season at 2-13-2 overall combined with a 0-7-2 mark in Horizon League play. YSU matches the Phoenix at 0-7-2 in conference action following the draw.

The Phoenix out shot the Penguins 13-9, and each team had two corner kick opportunities. It was the fifth time this season the Phoenix found itself in overtime and the second time GB did not allow a goal in either OT period.

Phoenix goalkeeper Kelly Kent recorded two saves in the contest. Green Bay bids farewell to a total of 12 seniors following its last game of the season, but will return three of its six goal scorers to the roster in 2019.
