GREEN BAY, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) --- The Green Bay women's basketball team took the floor against No. 15 DePaul in its first road contest of the 2018-19 season, giving the Blue Demons (1-0) a scare but eventually falling 73-64.
Frankie Wurtz had a career day for Green Bay (0-2), scoring a career-high 23 points and collecting a career-high 12 rebounds in 36 minutes. Wurtz also collected three steals and dished out one assist. Seniors
Jen Wellnitz and
Laken James combined to score 19 points and went 9-for-20 from the field.
Green Bay's next test will be its second-consecutive road matchup with a ranked opponent, as the Phoenix travels to No. 16 Missouri next Friday.
