MILWAUKEE, Wis. (GreenBayPhoenix.com) --- A defensive lockdown in the fourth quarter propelled Green Bay (6-5) to victory in its first Horizon League matchup of the season, as the Phoenix defeated Milwaukee (5-7) 76-62 on the road Friday night.
Green Bay was led by
Frankie Wurtz, who scored 18 points in the matchup on a 6-of-9 clip and notched a game-high nine rebounds in 35 minutes.
Madison Wolf scored a career-high 16 points while nearly going perfect from the field and finished 5-of-6 combined with a 6-of-8 performance from the line.
The Phoenix will continue Horizon League play on the road next week, traveling to Wright State (Jan. 3) and Northern Kentucky (Jan. 5).
